As a dedicated Father of four, I have little sympathy for parents who behave so carelessly. There is absolutely no excuse to leave a child unattended in a car.

I was at the school and notified the school office to help- to me, they were the authority and knew the appropriate protocol. The staff at the school is amazing and incredibly dedicated to the safety of children. I had my own children in my car and I left the school in charge of the situation. I would assume they would be required to call the police or perhaps even CPS, I am not sure.

At the risk of sounding incredibly harsh, did anyone happen to contact the authorities on this one?
