MEME- It shouldn’t be about ME, but today it is…
I got tagged to write a meme by AZ Mortgage Guru Shailesh Ghimire. What is a meme? Basically, in the blog world, a meme is a question that is asked on one blog and answered on another. SO in this meme chain, Shailesh tagged me and asked me to (1) list 7 things about myself, (2) tag 7 people to do the meme on themselves including a link to their site.
It is all in the name of good fun, and probably helps with "transparency" too. So here are 7 random things, all about ME!
While lounging on a beach in Mexico a few years ago, my family and I were asked to be in pictures for the Expedia travel website. The photos were taken on the spot. I am the second from the right, but it is so small you can’t tell it is me and that is a-ok! - I skipped my junior year in High School.
- I was on The Wallace and Ladmo Show, a popular children’s television show filmed in Phoenix, Arizona. I almost won the Ladmo Bag, a large grocery bag filled with all kinds of yummy junk food. Unfortunately, I traded my lucky seat with another child before the show, so she won the bag! I think my mom was happy about this.
- I have worked for almost every major real estate company. In Arizona, I worked for Century 21, West USA Realty, and Re/Max. In California, I worked for Coldwell Banker and Decker Bullock (a small luxury boutique firm) before moving to Pacific Union GMAC in 2005. Think I must be ancient to work for so many real estate companies? Not really, my first job in a real estate office was at the age of 15. (is that even legal??)
- I was in the musical production of Annie in elementary school and I hated every moment of it. I was put in the role of Pepper, the mean bully, because I was so much taller than the other kids. No thank you Miss Hannigan, I wanted to play the role of sweet little Molly.
- Almost every Friday night is taco night in my house. Must be my Arizona roots. This means tacos and margaritas. Real margaritas- on the rocks- no sweet and sour – the real stuff.
- I studied French in high school and college. Why? Je n’est ce pas!! (I don’t know!) I don’t remember much of it these days. I wish I spoke Spanish.
As for tagging, the following people are it:
- Margaret Woda – FocusonCrofton.com (i know, i know like meme #14, but I bet you haven’t done it on this blog!)
- Dale Chumbley- Clark County Real Estate Guide
- Monika McGillicuddy – New Hampshire Real Estate Blog
- Heather Elias- Loudoun County Real Estate Blog
- Linda Scanlan- Fort Worth Real Estate Blog
- Matt Gosselin- Blog of Geese
- Rob Aubrey- Salt Lake Real Estate
I can’t wait to read about all of you!!

Finally! Something new and fresh to learn about you…. thanks for being a good sport, I was not sure how you were going to react!
You really are rooted in the Real Estate business . That’s a lot of companies….. and skipping your junior year. Wow. I’m impressed.

I thought I left a comment yesterday. I finished mine. I tried to come up with seven people that are not part of the regular circuit. Will see what happens.

I recently got tagged on my blog and I found it harder to write than what I normally write about. But overall it was a fun process and I’ll probably do it again. That Expedia story is pretty amazing too!

Ginger – it was fun to learn more about you – I can’t believe how long you’ve been in real estate – you look so young (that’s a compliment!)
