MEME- It shouldn’t be about ME, but today it is…

January 26th, 2008 By Ginger Wilcox

I got tagged to write a meme by AZ Mortgage Guru Shailesh Ghimire.  What is a meme?  Basically, in the blog world, a meme is a question that is asked on one blog and answered on another.  SO in this meme chain, Shailesh tagged me and asked me to (1) list 7 things about myself, (2) tag 7 people to do the meme on themselves including a link to their site.

It is all in the name of good fun, and probably helps with "transparency" too.  So here are 7 random things, all about ME!

  1. avalonbaccaraWhile lounging on a beach in Mexico a few years ago, my family and I were asked to be in pictures for the Expedia travel website.  The photos were taken on the spot.  I am the second from the right, but it is so small you can’t tell it is me and that is a-ok!
  2. I skipped my junior year in High School.
  3. I was on The Wallace and Ladmo Show, a popular children’s television show filmed in Phoenix, Arizona.  I almost won the Ladmo Bag, a large grocery bag filled with all kinds of yummy junk food. Unfortunately, I traded my lucky seat with another child before the show, so she won the bag!  I think my mom was happy about this.
  4. I have worked for almost every major real estate company.  In Arizona, I worked for Century 21, West USA Realty, and Re/Max.  In California, I worked for Coldwell Banker and Decker Bullock (a small luxury boutique firm) before moving to Pacific Union GMAC in 2005.  Think I must be ancient to work for so many real estate companies?  Not really, my first job in a real estate office was at the age of 15.  (is that even legal??)
  5. I was in the musical production of Annie in elementary school and I hated every moment of it.   I was put in the role of Pepper, the mean bully, because I was so much taller than the other kids. No thank you Miss Hannigan, I wanted to play the role of sweet little Molly. margaritas
  6. Almost every Friday night is taco night in my house.  Must be my Arizona roots. This means tacos and margaritas.  Real margaritas- on the rocks- no sweet and sour – the real stuff.
  7. I studied French in high school and college.  Why?  Je n’est ce pas!! (I don’t know!) I don’t remember much of it these days.  I wish I spoke Spanish.

As for tagging, the following people are it:

I can’t wait to read about all of you!!

I recently got tagged on my blog and I found it harder to write than what I normally write about. But overall it was a fun process and I’ll probably do it again. That Expedia story is pretty amazing too!

Ginger – it was fun to learn more about you – I can’t believe how long you’ve been in real estate – you look so young (that’s a compliment!)
